Business content we can help remove

We work with online stores and brands, publishers and content sites, photographers, course creators, software makers, and film, music and media companies.

Copied or cloned websites

Sites that copy your pages, design or text, including clones set up to confuse your customers.

Scraped articles and blog posts

Copies of your writing on other sites, which can compete with your own pages in search.

Stolen product photos and listings

Your product images or descriptions used by other sellers, including on marketplaces like Amazon and Shopify stores.

Pirated digital products

Courses, ebooks, PDFs and software shared on file hosts and download sites without your permission.

Video, music and media

Your videos, audio and other media reposted on social platforms, video sites and repost networks.

Misuse of your brand

Sites or listings using your brand name or logo. Trademark enforcement takedowns are part of our Platinum service.

What copied content costs your business

Content theft isn't just annoying. It hits traffic, sales and trust in ways that are easy to miss.

Copies can outrank you

When the same text appears on more than one site, Google usually shows only one version. It doesn't always pick yours, especially if the copying site is older or bigger. That can mean lost traffic and leads.

Clones confuse customers

A cloned site or store can take orders, collect payments or run scams in your name. Customers who get burned often blame the real brand.

Stolen photos undercut you

Sellers using your product photos compete with you on price using your own work, and buyers can't tell which seller is the real brand.

Pirated products cut sales

Every free download of your course, ebook or software on a file host is a sale you may never make.

Takedown pricing

One flat price per site for most cases. We'll tell you before you pay anything extra.

Bigger cases

Premium and Platinum

For cases that need more than a standard notice, for example:

  • Many links on one site or platform
  • Sites or hosts that ignore notices
  • Removal from Google search results
  • Trademark and brand misuse
  • Cease and desist letters and counter-claims
See specialty pricing

Standard takedowns come with a money-back guarantee on qualifying cases. Removal depends on the site or host acting on our notice. If a qualifying Standard case completes the process and the content is still up, your fee is refunded. We confirm whether your case qualifies before any notice is sent. Not sure which you need? How takedowns work on marketplaces and platforms

Every platform has its own process, forms and proof it asks for. We know which route to use and how to follow up when a report is ignored.

Amazon

Copyright and trademark complaints go through Amazon's intellectual property report form. Brands enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry get extra reporting tools.

eBay and Etsy

eBay handles rights owner reports through its Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) program. Etsy has its own intellectual property reporting process.

Shopify stores

Shopify accepts complaints about stores it hosts that copy your content or product photos, which matters when the store owner won't respond.

YouTube and social media

YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok each have their own copyright reporting tools, with different rules for what they need from you.

Web hosts and file hosts

For standalone websites and download sites, the notice goes to the company hosting the site. We find who that is, even when the site hides it.

Google Search

Google accepts copyright removal requests to drop infringing pages from its results. We can file these for you as part of our Premium and Platinum services.

How a business takedown works

Show us what was copied

Send the links to the copies and to your original content. It takes a few minutes.

We review your case

A real person checks it, finds who hosts the copy and recommends the right service.

We send the notices and follow up

We contact the site, host or platform and keep following up. You get updates on your case.

You get confirmation

We let you know when the content is down, and how to check it yourself.

What to have ready

You don't need everything on this list to start. The more you can share, the faster we can move.

  • Links to every page, listing or file where your content was copied

What business clients say

I have a London Lifestyle Blog; I have worked with DMCA twice. The first time, my entire blog was cloned, and they had purchased a name very similar to mine. … That's when I discovered DMCA; they worked quickly to take down the offending website. … The second time it happened was less stressful because I knew I could leave it to DMCA to handle everything for me.

Business takedown questions

How much does a business takedown cost?

A Standard Takedown is $199 flat per site, with a money-back guarantee on qualifying cases. Bigger or specialized cases, like many URLs on one site, trademark issues or Google search removal, use our Premium or Platinum services. See takedown pricing for details.

How long does a takedown take?

Many takedowns are done within 24 to 48 hours. Most cases take a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the site and the host. Some take longer, especially hosts outside the US or sites that don't follow standard takedown procedures. If we expect a delay on your case, we'll tell you.

Our content is copied on a lot of pages. Can you handle that?

Yes. Premium covers many infringing URLs on a single site or platform. If your content is copied across several different sites, each site is its own case. Tell us the scope when you start and we'll recommend the right option before you pay anything extra.

Can scraped copies of our content outrank our own site?

They can. Google usually shows one version of duplicate content and doesn't always pick the original. Getting the copies removed, and asking Google to drop them from its results, helps make sure your page is the one people find.

Can you take down a whole cloned website?

Often, yes. We send the notice to the company hosting the clone. The host decides whether to remove the copied pages or disable the whole site, and many disable the site when most of it is copied.

Can you remove listings on Amazon, eBay, Etsy or Shopify?

Yes. Each marketplace has its own intellectual property reporting process, and we file through the right one for your case. Listings that misuse your brand name or logo are trademark cases, which are part of our Platinum service.

Do we need a registered copyright to send a takedown?

No. You can send a takedown notice for content you own without registering it first. Registration matters if you later want to sue, which is a question for a lawyer.

Someone is using our brand name or logo. Can you help?

Yes. Trademark enforcement takedowns are part of our Platinum service.

Can you remove copied content from Google search results?

Yes, where it applies. This is part of our Premium and Platinum services. See takedown pricing for details.

Can you remove content from sites outside the US?

Yes. The DMCA is a US law, but most countries and most large platforms have similar removal processes. When you start a case, we'll give you an honest view of whether removal is likely.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes, on qualifying Standard takedowns. If we complete the standard process and the content is still up, your fee is refunded. Premium and Platinum services don't include the guarantee. We confirm whether your case qualifies before any notice is sent.

We keep getting copied. Is there an ongoing option?

Yes. Business Protection is $15/month or $150/year. You submit your site URL, with no badge code needed, and get 10 free professional takedowns a year for standard copyright cases on pages that have been registered for at least 30 days.

Is DMCA.com a law firm?

No. DMCA.com is a content protection and takedown service, not a law firm, and we don't give legal advice.
