Free options you can try first

You don't always need to pay someone. These free tools can work well, especially on large platforms.

Report it to the platform

Most social networks and large sites have a report option for intimate images shared without consent. Use it first. Big platforms often act on these reports.

Block re-uploads with StopNCII.org

For adults 18 and over. StopNCII.org makes a digital fingerprint of your image on your own device, so the image never leaves your phone. Partner platforms use it to block uploads. StopNCII.org

Under 18 in the images?

Use Take It Down, a free service from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and report it to the CyberTipline.

Free tools work best on large platforms that follow their own rules. If your content is on many sites, on a site that ignores reports, or keeps coming back, that's when our team can help.

Takedown pricing

One flat price per site for most cases. We'll tell you before you pay anything extra.

Bigger cases

Premium and Platinum

For cases that need more than a standard notice, for example:

  • Many links on one site or platform
  • Sites or hosts that ignore notices
  • Removal from Google search results
  • Cease and desist letters and counter-claims
See specialty pricing

Standard takedowns come with a money-back guarantee on qualifying cases. Removal depends on the site or host acting on our notice. If a qualifying Standard case completes the process and the content is still up, your fee is refunded. We confirm whether your case qualifies before any notice is sent. Not sure which you need? Do you need a lawyer?

Not usually to get content removed. A takedown service is built for that and costs a flat fee instead of hourly rates. If you want to sue the person who posted it or claim damages, that's a job for a lawyer. Many people get the content taken down first, then decide about legal action. DMCA.com is not a law firm and doesn't give legal advice.

Lawyer

Best if you want to take legal action against the person who posted it. Usually charged by the hour.

Do it yourself

Lowest cost, but you'll need to find the right host and contacts and follow up yourself. DIY takedown tools come with Protection Pro, from $10/month.

Personal takedown questions

How long does a takedown take?

Many takedowns are done within 24 to 48 hours. Most cases take a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the site and the host. Some take longer, especially hosts outside the US or sites that don't follow standard takedown procedures. If we expect a delay on your case, we'll tell you.

Can you help with revenge porn removal?

Yes. Nude photos or intimate videos shared by an ex or anyone else without your consent are one of the most common cases we handle. Send us the links and we'll review your case. You don't have to contact the person who posted it. We deal with the site or host directly.

How do I remove nude photos of me from the internet?

Start by saving the links and reporting the images to each platform. If you're 18 or over, StopNCII.org can help block re-uploads on partner platforms. If the images are on many sites, on sites that ignore reports, or keep coming back, our team can send the takedown notices, follow up for you and get them removed from Google search results.

Can you remove leaked OnlyFans or other creator content?

Yes. Leaked paid content is usually your copyrighted work, and we remove it from leak sites, forums and file hosts. Creators can also see our OnlyFans and creator content protection page.

Can you remove deepfake images or videos of me?

Yes. We handle AI-made images and videos that use your face or likeness, on websites and in Google search results.

What if someone else took the photo?

We can still help. Tell us about it when you start your case and we'll explain your options.

Will it still show up on Google after it's removed?

Once a page is taken down, Google usually drops it from results after it next checks that page. If a result or image preview is still showing, we can get it removed from search. This is part of our Premium and Platinum services. See takedown pricing for details.

Someone is threatening to post my photos unless I pay. What should I do?

This is called sextortion. Don't pay and don't send more images. Keep the messages as evidence and report it to your local police. If you're under 18, also report it to the CyberTipline. If anything does get posted, we can work on getting it taken down.

Can you remove content from sites outside the US?

Yes. The DMCA is a US law, but most countries and most large platforms have similar removal processes. When you start a case, we'll give you an honest view of whether removal is likely.

Do I need to live in the US to use DMCA.com?

No. We work with clients in many countries.

Can you remove my photos or details from a dating site?

Yes. If a dating site hasn't removed your photos or details after you asked, we can help.

Is my case kept private?

Yes. A real person on our team handles your case, and we never publish client names or photos.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes, on qualifying Standard takedowns. If we complete the standard process and the content is still up, your fee is refunded. Premium and Platinum services don't include the guarantee. We confirm whether your case qualifies before any notice is sent.

Is DMCA.com a law firm?

No. DMCA.com is a content protection and takedown service, not a law firm, and we don't give legal advice.
